Biography

Tongan International Sione - also known as John - was born in Canterbury, New South Wales and began his rugby career with junior club St John Eagles before signing for the Bulldogs in 2005.

 

A key member of the Bulldogs junior teams from 2005-2007 he became a regular Prop in the National Youth Competition in 2008 and was named in the NYC Team of the Year. He made his NRL debut against South Sydney in July of the same year. 

 

Further senior appearances followed in 2009 before moving on to Melbourne Storm, making his debut against Canberra Raiders in August 2010. Weighing in at 15 pounds he is still believed to be the biggest baby born at Canterbury hospital.

 

John is sponsored by Warrington Trailer Centre for the 2012 Stobart Super League season.
