Wigan-born Grant, a former Hindley High School pupil, was voted Academy Player of the Year in 2010 having joined the Widnes ranks as a 15 year-old.
A successful 2010 also saw him play a significant part in the Academy team's exciting play-off victory against Leeds despite suffering a dislocated finger and broken bone in his hand.
Grant went on to make his senior debut in the opening Northern Rail Cup match of 2011 before scoring his first senior try in his second game, against the same opposition in a Challenge Cup-tie in May.
Blessed with the combination of a good kicking game and strong defence, Gore's Super League debut came as a substitute against Leeds Rhinos at Headingley in August 2012.
Grant is sponsored by Alder Spring for the 2013 Super League season.
Previous Clubs: Hindley Giants, Wigan St. Judes
Widnes debut: London Skolars (A) 6th February 2011
Career record as at 31st October 2012: 5 apps; 2 tries; 8 points
