Beginning his career with Newport Titans, Cardiff-born Lloyd has represented his country at Under-18, Student and Full international levels, making his senior debut in a European Cup victory over Ireland in 2009, just four months after making his first senior appearance for Crusaders.
2010 saw Lloyd cement his place in the Welsh national team while turning out on a regular basis for South Wales Scorpions, before collecting the 'International Player of the Year' award for Wales in 2011.
He joined the Vikings in 2012 only to be injured mid-season, by which time he had scored the drop-goal that secured the nail-biting win over Wigan Warriors.
