Biography

Having previously had trials with Liverpool Football Club, Widnes-born Tom turned his ambitions to rugby league and has gone on to represent England at both Under-15 and Under-16 levels, winning the 'Player of the Tournament' award in the Under-16 European Cup in 2009.

 

An excellent organiser, with a strong passing and kicking game, Thomas's ultimate ambition is now to be Widnes' scrum half in Super League.

 

Tom was called up to the England Academy squad in 2011 but subsequent knee ligament damage brought an early end to his season as he seemed destined to make his first team debut.

 

That debut finally came against London Broncos at Twickenham Stoop in June 2012.
