At half-time in the Vikings' recent 'home' game versus Featherstone Rovers (Sept 4), local amateur team Widnes Moorfield were presented with Clubmark Gold accreditation by Halton Rugby League Development Manager Dave Rolt.
Clubmark Gold is a higher level of accreditation that sees clubs recognised as a "focus club" by the Rugby Football League. It contains all the criteria of the general Clubmark award, plus added specific requirements such as; operating a minimum of three youth and/or junior teams, having a qualified first aider for every team and having a volunteer co-ordinator.
