Cavendish School visit
Valhalla Diary update by Kathryn Sanger
Pupils at Cavendish school in Runcorn enjoyed a crash course of passing and tackling this Tuesday (May 24, 2011), when the Valhalla Foundation came to visit.
Community co-ordinators John Foran and Ben Morris were joined by Vikings' number seven Chaz I'Anson for an hour of exercises designed to build team-work and confidence.
Pupils from the school learned techniques for passing the ball properly to each other, as well as how to correctly tackle bags onto crash mats. Fun was had all round.
Chaz and the team gave a demonstration about how to properly pass and catch, as well as showing the kids how it was done by tackling the bag full-force.
A relay race finished off the class, where pupils ran up and down the hall scoring tries.
