You can join Widnes Vikings every Tuesday to build your mental fitness, with our Player Fitness Session and Offload.

Mental Fitness Tuesdays gave people suffering with mental health issues the opportunity to gain access to free advice and physical activity to build their mental resilience.

Player

Player is a free session that takes place in the Vikings Performance Centre every Tuesday, which aims to improve mental fitness through physical activity.

Sessions range from bodyweight circuits to boxercise, with team challenges also taking place within the club’s first team facilities.

Player is delivered in partnership with the North West Borough Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and is inclusive to all abilities, meeting the individual needs of all participants.

If you’re looking to reap the benefits that physical activity can have on your mental fitness in a fun sociable environment, then join our next Player session at the Halton Stadium.

Offload

Offload is a free weekly programme that uses the power of Rugby League to help men build their mental fitness.

Every Tuesday between 6:30pm-8pm, Offload Programme Co-ordinator Sean Mellor welcomes participants to join in the interactive sessions which takes place in a relaxed and fun environment.

The team of presenters includes former players, coaches and referees such as Danny Sculthorpe, Phil Veivers and Ian Smith, who share past experiences with mental health problems and how they overcame the obstacles they faced.

So, if you’re looking for practical advice on how to cope with mental health issues, or looking to improve your mental fitness – head to your next Offload session.
