The Vikings Sports Foundation have launched a new ‘One Community’ timetable, providing weekly fitness sessions to Halton residents of all ages.

Alongside existing programmes such as Touch Rugby and Offload, a number of new sessions have been added to the timetable which kicks-off this Monday and runs every weekday.

Ahead of the launch of ‘One Community’ we have compiled a list of our new programmes and what they involve:

Bootcamp

What: A circuit-based workout, which uses resistance training alongside cardiovascular training, to improve strength and endurance.

When: Tuesday, 6pm-6:45pm AND Thursday, 7am-7:45am.

Where: Stadium Fitness.

Who: Participants must be 16 or older.

Cost: £3 per session.

10-Week Challenge

What: A 10-week training cycle catered to all abilities, which aims to improve physical fitness, target fat loss and encourage healthy eating. Individual measurements will be taken in week 1, 5 and 10 to monitor progress.

When: Tuesday, 7pm-8:30pm.

Where: Stadium Fitness.

Who: Participants must be 16 or older.

Cost: £30 for 10 x 1hr30m sessions.

Player

What: A project using physical activity as a supportive tool to engage adults with mental health issues.

When: Tuesday, 5pm-5:45pm.

Where: Stadium Fitness.

Who: Participants must be 18 or older.

Cost: FREE.

Pads and Gloves

What: A full body workout using pads and gloves, which combines boxing technique with circuit training to improve stamina, agility and co-ordination.

When: Monday, 7pm-7:45pm AND Thursday, 12:15pm-12:45pm.

Where: Stadium Fitness.

Who: Participants must be 16 or older.

Cost: £3 per session.

HIIT and Lunch HIIT

What: High Intensity Interval Training that targets fat loss through short, intense bursts of exercise followed by short recovery periods.

When: Lunch HIIT - Wednesday, 12:15pm-12:45pm AND Friday, 12:15pm-12:45pm.

          HIIT – Wednesday, 8pm- 8:45pm.

Where: Stadium Fitness.

Who: Participants must be 16 or older.

Cost: £3 per HIIT session, £2 per Lunch HIIT session.

Teenage Bootcamp

What: A circuit-based workout, which uses light resistance training alongside cardiovascular training, to improve strength and endurance.

When: Wednesday, 6pm-6:45pm.

Where: Stadium Fitness.

Who: Participants must be aged 11-16.

Cost: £2 per session.
