If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to get active, then our Walking Rugby sessions at the Halton Stadium are for you.

Every Tuesday at 5pm, Vikings Community Coach James Owen leads the Walking Rugby session on the iPitch, with newcomers and all abilities welcome.

Participants must walk at all times and tackles are completed by ‘tagging’ an opponent in possession of the ball. The free sessions require no experience of rugby league, as you will be supported to grow in skill and confidence.

It is a great way to socialise and create lasting friendships, something the current crop of participants have already done.

So, if you’re looking to meet new people, stay active or get back involved in the sport you love – give our Walking Rugby a try and join the fun.

Key information:

Entry: Head onto the iPitch, via the Stadium Fitness Main Entrance.

Timings: Every Tuesday, 5pm-6pm.

Required: Boots and/or trainers. Please also bring water.

Experience: Open to all, whether you’re an experienced player, or want to give this rugby league variation a go.

Cost: FREE!
