On Saturday the Vikings’ Community Team welcomed Holy Family Catholic Primary School to the Halton Stadium, as our ‘School of the Week’.

The pupils enjoyed a VIP experience of our Super League clash with Hull Kingston Rovers, as they took a tour of the Performance Centre and Gym and were joined by first team star Lloyd White.

They then led both teams out onto the pitch as mascots, before taking in all the action of the game from the stands.

Community Coach James Owen accompanied the children on their ‘Access all Areas’ tour, and commented: “It was a pleasure to welcome Holy Family to the Halton Stadium as our School of the Week.

“They were well behaved and a credit to their school, taking full advantage of the unique opportunities they had access to on the day.

“We are looking forward to welcoming Holy Family back to the stadium in the near future.”

Holy Family are one of the club’s five ‘Partner Schools’, utilising part of their Sports Premium Funding to gain quality coaching and pupil engagement activity for every week of the academic year. It also allows pupils to gain additional opportunities for player engagement and unique experiences through education, health and dance programmes.
