Aged 16-24 and looking to take an exciting new step in your life? Fulfil your potential by signing up for the Vikings Learning Centre.

The Vikings Learning Centre is a leading provider of education and training for adults who are out of education, work or training. Working in partnership with Riverside College, Widnes Vikings offer a range of opportunities that enable people to fulfil their potential and gain new opportunities. With a 100% pass-rate across all programmes, the Centre has countless examples of learners going on to gain exciting new opportunities in education, employment or apprenticeships.

As part of the Learning Centre’s new ‘One Of Our Own’ campaign, they are recruiting young adults (16-24) to sign up for NCFE Level 1 or 2 qualifications in Employability Skills. This 12-week course helps upskill young people, providing support in key areas such as CV writing, interview skills, communication skills and developing inter-personal skills. The programme enables them to become ‘job ready’, whether that be finding employment, apprenticeships or further education.

Students taking part in the courses also have the opportunity to enjoy a six-week work placement with Widnes Vikings or local businesses, developing their CV’s and work confidence.

The Vikings Learning Centre was highly commended in the 2017 Festival of Learning Awards.

Liam Clark, Head of Education at Widnes Vikings, says: “The Vikings Learning Centre offers a supportive environment for all learners, with small class sizes and a friendly and informal atmosphere. We recognise that mainstream education and training isn’t for everything, but by providing a creative, fun and friendly environment we make education and training accessible to all.

Our team has specialist skills to provide people with the support they need to fulfil their own personal goals. The learning centre has countless examples of supporting people to find direction, develop their skills and fulfil their potential. We will get to know you, what you want to achieve and how to get the best out of your talents. If you’re looking for a job-ready and exciting future, please get in touch.”
