Widnes Vikings this week concluded their brilliant Pathway Heroes Camp, a summer camp designed for children across Halton.

On every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August, the Vikings youth performance and community staff have held camps at the Frank Myler Pavilion for primary school children, with a theme surrounding rugby league and sport.

Members of the Vikings first team squad, including Ted and Jay Chapelhow, Danny Walker, Jordan Johnstone, Brad Walker and Ryan Ince, turned up at sessions to join in with the fun and provide lasting memories.

Liam Clark, Head of Education at Widnes Vikings, says: “We have been delighted as to how the camps have gone over the past few months,” he said.

“We have had lots of fun and laughter, and every child that has attended the camps have enjoyed themselves."

"I'd like to give a quick thank you to the Frank Myler Pavilion for facilitating our camps every week throughout August,"

"Also, it was great to have so many of the Vikings first team squad come down and join in with the children, providing them with memories they can take away with them as they head back to school in the coming weeks. We look forward to holding similar camps such as this in the future.”
