Widnes Vikings have announced that Strength and Conditioning Coach, Chris Baron, will be leaving the Club at the end of this season to pursue a new role in sports coaching.

Chris Baron says: “I would like to thank Widnes Vikings for the opportunity that they have given me. I have valued my experience here and enjoyed my time at the Club. Before I move on, I am determined to support the boys to finish the year strongly. I wish the Vikings, our players and the supporters all the best for the future.”

Denis Betts, Head Coach of Widnes Vikings, says: “Chris has made a good contribution to the Vikings and is a respected member of our team. We recognise that he would like to pursue a new challenge and he leaves with our best wishes. We have identified exciting new opportunities to enhance our strength and conditioning function for 2018, which will be announced in due course.”
