19th July 2017

Vikings star Tom Armstrong has recovered from a long-term knee injury and is relishing the opportunity to return to action against Warrington Wolves.

Armstrong spoke to the Vikings Media Team, sharing his thoughts on tomorrow's big local derby fixture (Thursday 20th July) and his first season with the Club. He discusses his ambition to improve upon his impressive early season form, how he coped being out of action and his excitement for taking on the Vikings local rivals.

Key Quotes

On his first long-term layoff: "At times its a lonely place in the physio room, so you have to get your head around that. This has been the longest injury I've ever had. I understand now when the boys say it's horrible being injured."

On making an impact: "I want to surpass where I was at before the injury. I feel a lot more settled here, I've been here almost a full season now, so hopefully I can show that on the field tomorrow."

On the big game: "Derby's are always big games. I'm back in the side and I've got something to prove. I want to help make it a competitive match and to get the win."
