Injury Update

17th July 2017

Widnes Vikings will be without hooker Aaron Heremaia for the remainder of the 2017 Betfred Super League season but have been boosted by the availability of Tom Armstrong, and the significant progress made by Lloyd White and Rhys Hanbury in their respective recoveries.

Aaron Heremaia suffered a knee injury in the Vikings fixture against Wakefield Trinity on Friday and, after a medical assessment, is likely require 10-12 weeks recovery time before returning to full fitness.

However, Tom Armstrong has been passed as fit following his lay-off due to a knee injury sustained in April against Leeds Rhinos. He is now in contention for selection in Thursday's upcoming derby away fixture against Warrington Wolves.

Both Lloyd White and Rhys Hanbury are also likely to be available for selection in the Betfred Super 8 Qualifier stages, with the pair now being close to full fitness following successful rehabilitation programmes.
