Form

Despite a spirited loss to Wigan last weekend, the Vikings head into this fixture with three victories in their last five games. The Vikings have lifted themselves off the foot of the table and although Denis Betts' side can't move up the table, they can edge themselves closer to the teams above them with a victory.

The Giants have been in improved form of the last two months, and despite looking like contenders for the Qualifiers in the early parts of the season, Rick Stone's side have rallied superbly to push themselves into the top eight and facing the prospect of the Super League Super 8s. The Giants will be wanting to eradicate last weekend's defeat away at Salford Red Devils and continue their push for the top eight with a victory tomorrow.

Previous Meetings

Huddersfield Giants hold a slight edge over the Vikings in recent meetings, winning five of the last eight fixtures between the two sides.

In 2016, the Vikings recorded a double over Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium. They beat then Paul Anderson’s side 36-18 in February to head to the top of the Super League table, then produced a outstanding comeback from 16-0 down in the home fixture to win 24-20.

However, Huddersfield have taken the advantage in 2017. The Giants secured a 28-16 win in Round One over Denis Betts’ side, scoring six tries to the Vikings' three as they started the Betfred Super League season with a win.

Widnes Vikings Milestones
