Widnes Vikings are proud to announce the continuation of the Talent Match programme, which continues to support 18-24 year olds across Halton into education or employment.

The Talent Match Plus programme supports Widnes Vikings to work in Halton to support and grow the skills of young men, whilst providing a quality environment in which to develop. Those previously on the course have ranged from people who have no qualifications, to people with no work experience, to new fathers looking for a new career path.

Talent Match already has a huge strike rate, with over 80% of those on the programme gaining quality work experience during their time with the initiative, and over 50% of participants being given interviews for both full-time and part-time positions.

Dan Scott, Educations Partnerships Manager at Widnes Vikings, says: "We are delighted to be continuing with our Talent Match programme. The programme offers an alternative environment for people to come and gain vital skills that can make them 'job ready' for full-time employment."

"With over 80% of participants on the programme gaining work experience following the course in 2016, we are striving to achieve similar levels of success in 2017," Dan Scott, Educations Partnerships Manager, says
