Widnes Vikings are pleased to announce the launch of ‘Future Stars’, a project which combines rugby league and health and wellbeing awareness for children and parents in Halton.

'Future Stars' provides boy and girls of primary age the opportunity to play and train like their heroes at the home of the Vikings under the supervision of its award winning community coaching team. With regular appearances from the Viking’s First Team stars to inspire participants, ‘Future Stars’ will offer a fun and exciting environment for children of all abilities to develop their passing, catching, kicking, tackling and try scoring abilities at Halton Stadium.

Whilst supporting the development of rugby skills is a focus of ‘Future Stars’, the Vikings team will also embed healthy lifestyle sessions into the programme for both participants and parents as part of its partnership with Halton Clinical Commissioning Group. This innovative approach is designed to promote health and wellbeing, on and off the pitch.
