Salford Red Devils Past Meetings

24th April 2017

This weekend, Denis Betts takes his Vikings side to take on Salford Red Devils on Sunday 30th April.

The Vikings head into the game on the back of a 16-14 win over St Helens last time out, and will be wanting to record their second win of the season away from the Halton Stadium.

Therefore, to whet the appetite, we take a look back at some memorable games in recent years against the Red Devils...

2013 - Widnes Vikings 58-24 Salford City Reds

Hat-tricks from Rhys Hanbury and Cameron Phelps helped Widnes Vikings to an emphatic win at the Halton Stadium.

Two tries from Hanbury and Cameron Phelps apiece, as well a Jon Clarke try, helped to push the Vikings into a 28-12 lead at half time, with the away side scoring through Theo Fages and Lee Jewitt.

This lead at the break would be one that Salford wouldn’t be able to recover from and the Vikings would extend their lead further in the second half.
