Members of the Widnes Vikings first team squad made dreams come true for our young supporters, by taking part in the Club’s Easter rugby camps.
The Vikings Easter Rugby Skill Skool saw the Vikings Community Team tour a number of local clubs over three days, delivering sessions that introduced our young supporters to key skills for Rugby League. On all three days, our stars came along to offer a hand!
Tom Armstrong, Tom Olbison and Charly Runciman visited Halton Farnworth Hornets, where they gave a special kicking class. This was followed by Sam Brooks delivering a tackling drill for the children at Moorfield ARLFC, and Eamon O’Carroll coming along to the final day at the Halton Stadium as the group hit the mats.
Liam Clark, Head of Education at Widnes Vikings, says: “It was brilliant to see so many members of the Vikings first team come down and get involved at the camps,. Their appearances added an extra boost to the children. It was great to see them passing on their rugby knowledge and getting involved in the fun."
