Owen Farnworth and Liam Walsh are set to make their first team debuts today for Widnes Vikings. Both players are products of the Vikings Academy setup and have enjoyed international honours at youth levels.

Forward, Farnworth, played his community rugby for Chorley Panthers and back row, Walsh, at Halton Farnworth Hornets. The pair have delivered consistent and exciting performances for the Academy, and have been selected for several England youth squads.

Their call ups represent another achievement for the Widnes Vikings youth system, which has been rated as Outstanding by the RFL. Recently, Danny Walker made his debut for the Vikings in the victory against Leigh Centurions and Keanan Brand was also named in the 19 man squad for fixture against Wakefield Trinity.

Widnes Vikings would like to congratulate Liam and Owen, their families and everyone who has supported their development, for this achievement.
