Vikings Players Make School Appearances

Members of Widnes Vikings first team made visits to schools across Widnes this week, helping to introduce local children to rugby league and inspire healthy lifestyles.

Jordan Johnstone and MacGraff Leuluai visited All Saints Upton Primary School on Tuesday afternoon. They took questions from children about how to become a rugby league player, what inspired them growing up, and living healthy lifestyles.

Widnes Vikings forward, Alex Gerrard, visited Oakfield Primary School on Thursday to help Vikings Community Coaches with a Sky Try session. The Sky Try programme aims to increase the amount of viewers, spectators and participants in Rugby League, helping to grow the sport. The children took part in a sports and activity session with the star. who helped them practice their rugby league skills.
