Widnes Vikings take on Salford Red Devils at the Leigh Sports Village on Saturday 1st April. The Vikings will be coming up against the Centurions for the first time following the home side's promotion in 2016 and are looking to record their first victory of the 2017 Betfred Super League season.

The Vikings make a few changes to the 19-man squad against Salford Red Devils, as Tom Gilmore and Manase Manuokafoa return from injury to replace Corey Thompson and .

Previous Meetings

These sides paths have only crossed recently once in which the Vikings ran in 9 tries, including a brace from Patrick Ah Van, in a comfortable 50-6 win in the Super League Qualifiers at the Halton Stadium in September 2015. 

You would have to go back 12 years to the 2005 season in which the Vikings and the Centurions crossed paths in Super League, where Frank Endacott's side were able to complete a double over Leigh during the season. Both sides were relegated at the end of the season. 

Widnes Vikings Milestones
