Lloyd White is already looking forward to the Rugby League World Cup with Wales following their qualification towards the back end of 2016.

Lloyd, alongside Vikings forward, Gil Dudson, was part of John Kear’s Wales squad that secured their place at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup with a 20-14 over Italy in Monza.

The 28-year old says that qualification was a dream come true.

“I’m really excited to be heading Down Under - it’s something that I’ve wanted to achieve in my career. To go to Australia and represent my country in a World Cup really is a once in a lifetime opportunity”,  he said.

“The win against Italy was brilliant and to do it in Monza made it even better. Now we’ve qualified, we are all buzzing to show what we can do.”

“With the group that we have been drawn in, against Papua New Guinea, Fiji and, Ireland, it isn’t going to be easy by any means for us to qualify out of the group. I know though that we will give it everything we have and I'm confident we can give a good account of ourselves.”
