A youngster that takes part in the Girls Satellite Club every week has urged more girls to come down and join in the fun with the session returning tonight on the I-Pitch.

Elizabeth Roberts is 11 years-old, and is a regular attender to the Club, that takes place between 4:30-5:30pm at the Select Security Stadium. The session involves a number of fun rugby drills that will enhance the girls skills that are led by the Vikings Community Coaches.

Elizabeth Roberts says: "I've met lots of new people who are now friends, and I know everybody that comes along every week," she said.

"The drills and games that we do are fun and enjoyable but they also teach us techniques about rugby and how to play the game. The coaches aren't too strict and make sure that we're learning but also enjoying ourselves too."

"I'm a big Widnes fan and I can't believe sometimes that I play on the same pitch as they do. I think it's really good thing and more girls should come down."

The Satellite Club will take place on the I-Pitch tonight at the stadium and all girls are welcome to come along and take part in a session that will encourage physical exercise whilst also hugely enhancing the girls’ rugby skills.

The session is a weekly hour long between 4:30-5:30pm and will not require you to book in advance of the event, just turn up and join in with the fun! If you have any enquiries about the event on Friday evening, or if you require any more details regarding Girls Satellite Club, please contact Liam Clark (0151 495 2250 or liamc@widnesvikings.co.uk).
