Family owned, Runcorn based coach company and Widnes Vikings official transport partner, Anthony's Travel, is celebrating after winning Cheshire High Sheriffs Enterprise Award for Corporate Social Responsibility at an emotional Awards Ceremony held at Chester Town Hall on Thursday 26th March 2015.

The winner of the coveted title of the prestigious award also receives £ 3000.00 of prize money and whilst there is no stipulation to how the money is spent, Anthony's Travel have ring fenced the money to ensure every penny is spent on its carefully selected local charities and good causes Anthony's Travel already partner.

A delighted Richard Bamber, Partner of Anthony's Travel said

"We are over the moon to win the High Sheriffs Corporate Social Responsibility award for the second time and honoured that we were deemed worthy. As a family business that's proud to be from Cheshire and employing a local workforce our ethos has always been to give back to the local community. Each charity and good cause we partner enhances the Borough of Halton and beyond so with the additional funding we can offer them even more support.  Corporate Social Responsibility has often regarded as something only well known large companies take part in, we have hopefully shown that small businesses whilst not having the same financial power have an unrivalled amount of local knowledge, resources and passion for the area to which they trade which is unrivalled"

Professor Phil Harris, Chester University & chairman of the organising committee of the awards , when speaking about Anthony's Travel said

"A great family business based in Runcorn that supports its community through great care and leadership. A wonderful Corporate Socially Responsible business that gives back by investing in its community on a daily basis which is an example to all .Great People, Great Business, Great Care for its Community”
