Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane is likely to draft in second-rower Willie Isa, Jake Shorrocks, and possibly winger Liam Marshall - for what would be his Super League debut. They were left out for the Dacia World Club Challenge win over Cronulla Sharks.
Widnes Vikings coach Denis Betts has called up teenage scrum-half Jordan Johnstone in place of Tom Gilmore, who joins his half-back partner Joe Mellor on the sidelines with an ankle injury. Aaron Heremaia and Danny Craven are also options while prop forwards Greg Burke and Jack Buchanan are set to make their first appearances of the season after recovering from injury.
