Whiston-born Tom joined hometown St Helens having played his junior rugby with Thatto Heath and Pilkington Recs. After a try-scoring debut against Warrington in 2009 he joined Leigh on dual registration in 2011, going on to score  the last minute match-winning try in their Northern Rail Cup Final victory over Halifax. Released by Saints in 2011 Tom returned to fulltime education while turning out for Swinton Lions in 2012, and Championship winning Sheffield Eagles in 2013, before re-joining the Centurions on a permanent basis in 2014, going on to win a further two Grand Finals. 2015 saw Tom gain a Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering and receive the prestigious award of Sport Manchester’s Student of the Year. The speedy and prolific three-quarter steps back up to Super League with the Vikings seeking a fourth Grand Final appearance. Away from rugby Tom enjoys trail running and mountaineering while having an interest in a wide variety of sports.
