Charly, who played his junior rugby with the St John's Dubbo club,  joined the Dragons at the age of 18 and was named the club's 'NYC Player of the Year' in 2012. Making his senior debut against Penrith Panthers in 2013 he also won selection for the New South Wales Under 20 State of Origin team in that year. Playing mainly at centre the Junior Kangaroo representative cites his NRL debut as the highlight of his career so far having gone on to make 12 senior appearances for the Dragons and scoring 6 tries, the first of which came against the Warriors. An instant hit with the fans Charly claimed 7 tries in 7 matches as Widnes successfully negotiated the 'Qualifiers' to maintain their top flight status, and further progress in 2016 earned him a new 2-year deal. The speedy Australian enjoys a round of golf and playing the guitar in his time away from the game.
