Oldham born Chris played his junior rugby with Oldham St Annes and Royton Tigers before joining the  HuddersfieldAcademy and eventually moving on to Bradford Bulls, where he made his senior debut against Halifax in 2003 after gaining 2 caps for the EnglandAcademy side. In 2004 Warrington paid £30,000 for his signature to begin a successful eleven year association with the Wolves where he became one of only ten players to score 100 tries and 1000 points for the club in his 228 appearances. A Challenge Cup winner in 2009 and Grand Final runner-up in 2013 Chris has also represented Ireland at senior level, claiming 32 points in his 3 matches, in addition to a try in 4 appearances for England. Family man Chris cites the Four Nations Final against Australia as his career highlight. Despite an injury-hit season with the Vikings in 2016 Chris forged a dynamic partnership with the free-scoring Corey Thompson.
