Vikings support Save the Children

6th December 2018

Widnes Vikings are proud to support and be a part of the Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 14th December 2018, and we ask you, our fans, to get involved.

Save the Children is an international, non-governmental organisation that promotes children’s rights. It helps support children in developing countries and help them fight for their mark on the world to build a better future for themselves . Save the Children is a charity that believes in the power of children and how they should have fundamental access to basic rights that other children have across all countries. The funds that they raise go towards making sure children can survive, get protection when they are in danger and have the chance to learn and experience new activities.

On Friday 14th December, the Vikings office staff will be wearing Christmas Jumpers in an attempt to raise awareness and funds for Save the Children.

Recently, Vikings Christmas Jumpers have been brought into our Vikings Superstore (located in Tesco Extra, Widnes) ready to be purchased. There is a wide selection available, so head down and get yours now ahead of the 14th.

We want to see our Widnes Vikings fans in their Christmas Jumpers, so make sure to tweet us at @WidnesRL on Friday to show your support for the charity. Alternatively, you can text TEAMWVXMAS to 70050 to donate just £2 to a very worthy cause. By doing this, you will be making a big difference for children around the world.
