On 3^rd April 2011, just 3 days after the clubs successful Super League licence application, Widnes Vikings Chairman Steve O'Connor took to the pitch at the Stobart Stadium and launched a new, innovative way for fans to support their local team upon its return to the top flight.

The Viking Stronghold membership initiative was launched.

 

The Vikings today introduce an attractive new subscription offer which will can reduce the annual fee for potential new members by up to 50% against current matchday ticket prices.

 

Standard 12 month advance subscription packages are available at the following rates;

 

Adult £199 saving 30%*

 

Concession £139 saving 30%*

Junior £85 saving 50%*

Family (1 Adult / 2 Children) £359 saving 40%*

 

Commenting on the Viking Stronghold initiative, Head Coach Denis Betts said; "Our Viking Stronghold Members are the foundation on which this great club is built. It is your support that not only provides the players with the motivation and encouragement to succeed but also provides the financial security to continue to grow the club both on and off the field."

Membership Benefits include;

Access into all regular HOME Super League fixtures with Junior Members receiving FREE ACCESS into all regular HOME & AWAY Super League fixtures.

 

Members will receive access to the Viking Stronghold SMS service; announcing major news 1 hour before it is released to the national press and in advance of each HOME game, a message will also be sent containing the day's team news.

Members will benefit from a massive 50% DISCOUNT on their Magic Weekend tickets** and a priority purchase period for all non-regular fixtures.

Throughout the year there will be a host of exclusive Stronghold members events and member discounts on offer to all non-exclusive Vikings events.

You will be invited to the clubs Official Store member discount days and will receive exclusive discounts from our official club and local partners (where applicable).

If you wish to take advantage of this offer, simply visit the Viking Store located at the Stobart Stadium (within Stadium Fitness) prior to November 20^th 2012. Please note that postal payments will only be accepted if the payment method is by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to WIDNES SPORT LTD. Please ensure that your full name and address is written on the back of your cheque.  

 

Alternatively, you can pop into the Widnes RL Museum at the Stobart Stadium on either a Friday or Saturday between 11.00am - 2.30pm. 

 

Widnes Vikings can also offer new members a Direct Debit facility, allowing you to spread your membership payments over 12 months. Please note that this is set at a higher tariff than the advanced 12 month subscription membership, but still offers a fantastic discount on matchday prices. If you wish to set up a Direct Debit instruction, please contact the club and a direct debit mandate form will be sent out to you or an instruction set up over the phone.

 

To all existing Stronghold members

We have written to every existing Stronghold member personally to explain how this offer affects them. Please read this letter prior to contacting the club.
