Story in brief:Liz and Allan's Charity Auction for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research
This charity auction of Rugby League memorabilia is to raise money for the Katie Wilkinson Forget Me Not fund for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. 100% of the money raised will go to this charity.
Katie aged 21, a keen rugby league and avid Leeds Rhinos fan died in 2006 whilst being treated for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. The aim of the charity is to raise money through something which she loved and has offered her family such precious memories.
So far, the charity has secured signed 2012 shirts from Leeds Rhinos, Widnes Vikings, Warrington Wolves, Hull FC, Castleford Tigers and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
They also have an Exiles shirt signed by this year's team, as well as a signed 2012 Challenge Cup programme signed by the winners Warrington Wolves, and a World Club Challenge ball signed by the starting Leeds Rhinos team, to name but a few.
The auction will run for 7 days and started on Saturday 29th September. It will finish on Friday 5th October, the day before the Stobart Super League XVII Grand Final at Old Trafford. So, make a note of the date and get bidding.
