Tara-Jane Doubles Up!

At their recent AGM, the Women's Amateur Rugby League Association (WARLA) which governs the game played in the traditional season, named Widnes Vikings Ladies Tara-Jane Stanley as the WARLA Player of the Year and Top try scorer of the Year for the 2011/12 season.

WARLA Chair Steve Manning was present at the Widnes Vikings Ladies clubhouse at The Parklands, Widnes, to present Tara with these trophies after her side had consolidated the NW Ladies Summer League title.

It capped an amazing twelve months for Tara which has seen her named the BARLA Ladies Player of the Year, play for England Students and recently make a try scoring debut for the representative England Ladies rugby league side in their victory over France. She now looks destined to play for the international side in the 2013 Women's Rugby League World Cup.
