Story in brief:
I'm off to Wakefield on Sunday - are you coming?
This Sunday, the Vikings are on their travels to The Rapid Solicitors Stadium, home of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. This will be the first time the two sides have met since the Round One clash at the Stobart Stadium in early February.
Things didn't go according to the script for the Vikings that night, and Head Coach Denis Betts is well aware this weekend's game promises to be yet another tough test against one of the form teams in Stobart Super League; "In my mind, Richard Agar has got to be up-there in the reckoning for Coach of the Season. He's done a sensational job with what he has pulled together. His team are well coached with loads of structure and some really good players in there.
"Wakefield have also been fortunate with injuries and aside of losing Paul Aiton, they have benefitted massively through having consistency in their selection process. If you can keep that in your side then you won't go far wrong.
"Following injury, we've got a few bodies back on board this week but the hard part for the likes of Chris Dean, Steve Pickersgill and Joe Mellor is actually getting back into a side that is playing pretty well.
"At the end of the day, that is exactly what we want. I want to create an environment where there is competition internally for places and people have to play well every week to keep their spot."
