Story in brief:
This Sunday, 26 February, the Vikings are delighted to offer its members and supporters a fantastic opportunity to watch ‘3 games for the price of 1' at the Stobart Stadium Halton.
The action begins at 11.45am when the Widnes Vikings and Leeds Rhinos U20's teams go head to head in the Valvoline Cup competition. This will be followed by the Stobart Super League XVII - Rd. 4 clash between Denis Betts' and Brian McDermott's men at 2.00pm.
Bringing down the curtain on the afternoon's entertainment will be a big screen broadcast of the Carling Cup Final contested by Cardiff City and Liverpool which kicks-off at 4.00pm.
In what will be a permanent fixture at the Stobart Stadium Halton from this weekend onwards, this will be the first chance for Vikings fans to view the clubs brand-new 30 square metre screen, the exact model also used by Stobart Super League's primary broadcast partners Sky Sports.
Further to this, following the final hooter, after a short wait those in attendance are invited to enter the i-pitch for themselves and step foot on the actual field of play trodden by their heroes a few minutes earlier. Fans are also welcome to sit down on the i-pitch and watch the Cup Final should they wish to do so.
The state of the art i-pitch has proven something of a headline grabber recently and Sunday's event offers you the ideal opportunity to sample the playing surface for yourself. What's more, we'll even throw in a few balls for you to have a pass/kick around with!
From 11.30am onwards a selection of food and drink will be on sale from the concourse bars. Following the Vikings versus Rhinos first team game, only the South Stand toilet and refreshments facilities will remain open.
