Another first for the i-pitch

It was another first for the i-pitch last night, when ‘Touch Rugby League' came to the Stobart Stadium Halton.

The local rugby league community came out in force to support the event with 12 teams participating.

Having received positive feedback throughout the inaugural session, Halton Rugby League Development Manager Dave Rolt commented; "It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves playing Touch Rugby League.

"From the outset, this was the main thing I was looking for and to receive such encouraging signs at our first event was fantastic.

"The League will run for 10 weeks, every Monday from 7.00-9.00pm and we look forward to seeing more and more participants joining us with each new week."
